Port Vale have completed the season-long loan signings of forwards Maleace Asamoah and Keyrol Figueroa on deadline day. The BBC reported the moves as the League Two club's 12th and 13th additions of the summer transfer window.
Manager Brady welcomed the pair to a squad currently sitting 24th in League Two, having taken just two points from their opening four matches. Their next challenge is an away trip to face Salford City on September 5th, a game you can find on our fixtures page.
Who are the new Port Vale forwards?
Keyrol Figueroa arrives from Liverpool, where he has been part of the academy since 2018 after moving from FC Dallas. The 20-year-old forward has represented the United States at youth levels but switched his international allegiance to Honduras. He earned his first senior cap for Honduras in a friendly against Argentina this past June.
Maleace Asamoah joins from Wigan Athletic. The 23-year-old has made 47 appearances for the Latics, with 36 of those coming in League One. His career path has included spells in the academies of Reading and Tottenham Hotspur, a stint in Greece with second-tier side Kalamata, and time with Fleetwood Town before moving to Wigan in 2024. He was loaned to Shamrock Rovers of the League of Ireland in February.
What will they bring to the team?
Vale boss Brady provided a clear assessment of both players' attributes. "Keyrol comes from an outstanding football environment at Liverpool and has a really exciting attacking profile," Brady said. He described Figueroa as quick, direct, and dynamic, with the strength and technical ability to receive the ball under pressure and link play. Brady highlighted the forward's pace and athleticism to run in behind defenders and attack space.
Speaking about Asamoah, Brady noted, "Maleace is a quick and powerful player who is suited to the left wing but can also play through the middle." The manager pointed out that Asamoah has considerable experience at League One level, which should aid his adaptation to the demands of League Two football. The club is pleased to welcome him to the group.

The double signing concludes a busy summer of recruitment for the Valiants. Adding Figueroa and Asamoah provides fresh options in attack, an area where the team has struggled early in the campaign.
